THANKS TO 100th VISITOR FROM INDIA

The Apatani tribe inhabits the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. Ziro, a picturesque valley-town in the Apatani plateau, is situated north of the capital Itanagar, and is the home of the tribe. All the tribes in Arunachal weave their own cloths and the Apatanis are no exception.

The Painted Stork (Mycteria leucocephala) is a large wading bird in the stork family. It is found in the wetlands of the plains of tropical Asia south of the Himalayas in South Asia and extending into Southeast Asia.

INDIA, BrahMos, 500, 2008

BrahMos is a stealth supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land. It is a joint venture between Republic of India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russian Federation's NPO Mashinostroeyenia who have together formed BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited.
