INDONESIA: PRESIDENT B.J. HABIBIE

B. J. Habibie, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie from Pare-Pare, South Sulawesi (born: 25 June 1936) was the third President of Indonesia after Suharto. He holding office from May 21, 1998 - October 1999.

After graduating high school in bandung in 1954, he entered the University of Indonesia in Bandung (ITB now). He received his diploma from the Technische Hochschule, Germany in 1960 which then get gekar Doctorate from the same place in 1965. Habibie was married in 1962, and has two children. In 1967, became Professor of honor (Professor) at the Institut Teknologi Bandung.

25th years anniversary of independence of Sarawak in Malaysia (1963 - 1988)

Sarawak was officially granted independence on July 22, 1963, and joined with Malaya, Sabah, and Singapore, in the federation of Malaysia, formed on September 16, 1963, despite the initial opposition from parts of the population.

MALAYSIA: SARAWAK COUNCIL NEGRI CENTENARY

100 years of Sarawak Council Negri Centenary Celebration (1867 - 1967)

Council Negri is the oldest legislative and the biggest fully elected Assembly in Malaysia. On this site, the Assembly was established and its first inaugural meeting was held on 8th September,1867. The Second Rajah of the Brooke Government, Sr Charles Brooke and five British officers and 16 Malay and Melanau community leaders in the state attended the meeting".
